Smashing Pumpkins much like Alchemical Throwing Phials in retail with a bigger kick.
As with Alchemical Throwing Phials Smashing Pumpkins spells are only active until you throw them.
This means if you have 5, the first 4 you throw are a guaranteed hit. The last (5th) will be a dice roll biased off skill.
The is no issue with the item or ACE and is working exactly as designed.
If a Pumpkin is not stacked with more pumpkins, when it leaves the players hand and you have no more pumpkins IN your hand, you loose the spell effects just as in retail.
