Many of the OG players have tried Uber Fishing.

Fishing at an Uber Fishing Hol3 requires a special fishing license that can only be acquired from NPC Hook

The cost of the Uber Fishing Hol3 License is (1) Death Certificate

The license is good for 24 hours just as a regular fishing license.

The regular fishing license and the Uber Fishing License are not interchangeable and have separate quest timers.

At this time there is only ONE Uber fishing area, with a total of FOUR Uber Fishing Hol3s

The area is accessible several different ways.

When you purchase an Uber Fishing License from NPC Hook, he summon portals a non-linkable portal to between Uber Fishing Hol3 areas.

If you return to NPC Hook when your license is still valid, he will summon the portal again for an MMD note.

If you slap him another Death Certificate while your Uber Fishing License is still valid, He will update your license to 24 hours again and send you on your way.

The Uber Fishing Hol3 Area is also accessible via a nearby lifestone and possible some house portals. I have not investigated that too much because I like the area the Hol3s are in so far.

Why might you ask would you ever want to fish on A'Chard?

1. At this point, it's easy. Low spawn rate, might not even need to buff 2. The loot and XP rewards..... 3. Why not ruin a mans fishing after work or on the weekend?

Some of the OG players know the loot WAS better. While playing with it I even discovered an ACE bug that got fixed with the createitem NPC command on several items of magic items I was trying to get the Hol3 to give out as rewards.

I say the loot was better because i admitted to turning it down last year. Why? It was real damn good. Not bad if people are fighting over the holes. That's what I wanted, disruption. The level 8 loot will be added back soon and XP and LUM might be turned up a tiny tiny bit. I just need time to look at the bazillion percentages in the fishing code re-adjust the 8s and add them back. When i add them back, it will be announced and you should notice a real difference again.

The Uber Fishing Hol3 Area will at some pint be updated or moved to a new spot with a higher monster ration that may require a team to both kill and fish to be successful which could also be be macroed as well. The area was designed to be fought over for the high level of premium loot for very little work other than defend the holes but the server population is still too low to support this. One of the ACE developers Optish suggested I add a random Crocodile. I just might make one spawn if the area goes unchanged for a certain time. All you will hear is tick tick tick..tick......tick tick...
